We offer a range of services including daycare, overnight boarding, and bathing. We are trained to provide personalized care to your dog and will always put your dog's needs first. We offer pictures and videos so you can check in on your dog throughout the day.

Our Facility

Whiskey Lou’s Doggie Daycare is featured on 18 acres of land with fenced in play areas so your pups can run and explore. Our outdoor areas have plenty of space with walking paths, agility activities, kiddie pools, splash pads, puzzles, and toys to keep your furry friends entertained throughout the day. Our facility includes cozy sleeping quarters and secured kennels which are cleaned and sanitized regularly to ensure the health and safety of all dogs.

Our Facility

My name is Lisa, and my life has always revolved around rescuing dogs. It's more than a passion; it's truly a "barking good time" helping pups in need. Our home is currently filled with four incredible rescue dogs, each with their own unique story that led them to us. What truly ignited this dream was a 12 week old pup who was abandoned in front of the restaurant where I worked at in Louisville on Whiskey Row. That's when Whiskey Lou's Doggie Daycare got started.

Whiskey's Pole Barn Project

We're building a pole barn for Whiskey Lou's Doggie Daycare—a safe, spacious, and weatherproof facility where dogs can play, learn, and thrive year-round. This new structure will not only improve the care we offer but also allow us to support local shelters by fostering more rescue dogs and providing free play days to dogs in need.

We're launching a GoFundMe to help bring this dream to life. Your support will go directly toward materials, labor, and upgrades that benefit both our daycare dogs and the shelter pups we care for.

10% of donations will go to local animal shelters in need.

What are you hours of operation?

Normal Daycare Hours:

Monday-Friday 6:00am - 6:00pm

Drop off times will be 6:00am-9:00am.
Pick up times will be 3:00pm-6:00pm.
If not picked up by closing time of 6:00pm an overnight boarding will be charged plus any charges for required food.

Boarding Drop off & Pick-up Hours

Boarding dogs may be dropped off and picked-up between 6am-6pm Monday through Friday. Boarding pick-ups after 12:00pm will be charged for daycare. Pick-ups after 6:00pm will be charged another day of boarding.
On Saturday and Sunday, boarding drop off and pick-ups may be conducted between 9am-12pm.

Do you accept walk-ins and last minute stays?

We understand plans change or you may need to find a place for your dog on short notice. Please call to inquire and we will try to accommodate based on availability.

What is your cancellation policy?

Daycare:

We kindly request 12-hour notice for cancellations. Cancellations made after 6pm the night prior of the scheduled appointment will be charged for a full daycare.

Boarding:

Boarding deposits are refundable with a cancellation three days or more in advance. In the event of a change of plan, please reach out as soon as possible to be eligible for a refund.

What do I need to bring and what do you provide?

It's time to have a barking good time! Along with your furry friend, please arrive with:

Pack up your furry friend's favorite treats
A leash, collar, and/or a harness, helping us to keep your pup safe
Meal time have food divided into baggies or containers with your pups name(s) ensuring there is plenty for their pawsitive stay. Please note: if food is not portioned into baggies or containers a $5.00/meal convenience fee will be added to the boarding total.
Your dog's favorite blanket and toys that smell like home.

We've got it covered! Leave the following to us:

Snuggle blankets.
Elevated dog beds-A win win for those dog's joint
A spotless environment, with each kennel cleaned daily.
Regular brushing.
Cuddling.
Walking paths and running areas.
Exercise, puzzles, agility activities , splash pads, and small pools for hot days.
A well-hydrated pup, with a never-ending stream of clean water
Sending wags and tails for boarding owners receiving photos and video's directly to their smartphone.

Do you carry insurance for your services?

At Whiskey Lou's Doggie Daycare, your dog's safety is our top priority. We're fully insured, giving you peace of mind while your furry friend enjoys a fun, secure, and loving environment.

Our staff-to-dog ratio is 1:5 to ensure that each dog receives individual attention and care.
